The story follows Charles (Tim Key), an eccentric lottery winner who lives alone on a remote island, driven by the dream of reuniting his favourite musicians, Mortimer-McGwyer (played by Carey Mulligan and Tom Basden). When his fantasy unexpectedly comes to life as the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation for a private show at his home on Wallis Island, Charles faces the challenge of navigating old tensions. In his goal to fulfill his dream gig, he discovers the power of connection and the resilience of the human spirit.
