“Friendship truly has all the makings of a future comedy classic.” – Collider
Channelling the comedy of his hit sketch seriesĀ I Think You Should Leave, Tim Robinson portrays a suburban dad obsessively pursuing camaraderie with his charming neighbour (Paul Rudd).
When a delivery mistake introduces suburban dad Craig Waterman (Tim Robinson) to his new neighbour, Austin Carmichael (Paul Rudd), a friendship begins. They bond over urban exploration, punk rock, and ancient artifacts. However, Craigās obsessive behavior soon drives Austin away, threatening to upend Craigās life.
Writer-director Andrew DeYoung adeptly creates moments for Robinson to display both his innocent side and his comically frustrated side, which he is well-known for. This is especially effective as he interacts with Paul Rudd’s disarmingly charming character, creating a contrast to the energy that Robinson brings to the film.
